The Sheriff’s Office and the County Building Department have completed their inspections and found no issues.   • Ratification of the Chair’s Signature on a Letter of Support for the San Juan Basin Area Agency on Aging

    This letter is in support of grant funding that is being requested by the San Juan Basin Area Agency on Aging. The funding would substantially enhance SJBAAA’s capacity to assist our most vulnerable residents by expanding support for a broad range of benefit enrollment services. This investment would address a longstanding gap in our community’s ability to connect older adults with the programs they need to remain safe, healthy, and independent. The Chair signed this letter on November 26, 2025.

  • Consideration of a Letter of Support for the Town of Pagosa Springs

    This letter is in support of the Town of Pagosa Springs. They are applying for the CPW Fishing is Fun Grant to fund the proposed flood relief work from the October 2025 flooding. This grant is a critical opportunity during our flood restoration efforts, not only for Pagosa Springs and Archuleta County, but for the broader goal of supporting angling in our region.

  • Consideration of a Letter of Support for the Affordable Housing Preservation Project for SolidGround Solutions

    This letter is in support of SolidGround Solutions for the acquisition of Pagosa Springs Apartments, located at 519 Village Drive. Consisting of 98 units, SolidGround Solutions plans to offer AMIs in the 60-70% range and, if possible, lower, depending on the funding available. This project has recently been awarded a pre-development funding award through the Colorado Department of Local Affairs (DOLA). The county commissioners understand that this project intends to create and preserve long-term affordable housing for residents who already live and work within our community. This aligns directly with the county’s goals of reducing displacement, retaining workers, and supporting community stability.

NEW BUSINESS

  • Consideration Of Resolution 2025- ______ Certification of Levies and Revenues

    Pursuant to C.R.S. 39-1-111, no later than December 22 in each year, the Board of County Commissioners (the “BoCC”) by an order to be entered in the record of its proceedings, levy against the valuation for assessment of all taxable property located in the county, and in the town, school districts, and special districts within the county, the property taxes for all purposes required by law.

    The BoCC shall certify all such levies to the Assessor on the “Certification of Levies and Revenues” form and a copy of the certification will be sent to the Property Tax Administrator, Division of Local Government and the Department of Education no later than December 22nd.

    This License Agreement outlines the terms and responsibilities associated with the Skis and Saddles Skijor Pagosa Country event at the Archuleta County Fairgrounds, January 16-18, 2026. The agreement specifies requirements for snowmaking, snow moving, snow delivery, and authorized use of the County fire hydrant, as well as closing and isolation of the fire water line to the sprinkler system in the Hughes Pavilion. County staff has reviewed the agreement and recommends approval.
