These Rules and Guidelines apply to everyone who is participating in the parade.
- Only float units and the towing vehicle will be allowed into the lineup area. This is for safety and sheer availability of space.
- Parade participants WILL NOT squirt or otherwise cause WATER to land on the parade watchers.
- Parade participants WILL NOT THROW ANYTHING at the parade watchers or hand out items from floats. This includes but is not limited to candy, gum, toys, or beads. This also includes confetti cannons, streams, or the like.
Participants may distribute safely from the sidewalk if desired. - This is an all forward motion parade and all parade participants are expected to keep their entry moving forward at the pace of the parade. Specifically:
* No “Slow Cadences” are allowed.
* No stopping of any group along the parade route is allowed.
* Performing groups must choreograph routines to continuously maintain forward motion at the parade pace. - All entrants must conform to the description stated on their application, without exception.
- Archuleta County reserves the right to reject any entry not in keeping with the dignity of the parade.

Your submission of the entry form indicates that you agree that Archuleta County, its associates, employees, agents, and volunteers, are released from any and all liability and responsibility for loss, damage, or injury to any person or property relating in any way to participation in the Parade. Additionally, your submission is evidence that you agree to all rules and will abide by those rules and that you will abide by the decisions of the Parade Committee and judges.
