Foster Care / Adoption

Human Services Foster / Adoption Program

Archuleta County needs foster parents. Foster care is a temporary home where adults provide a safe home for children and teens, because their parents need time to learn new skills to become parents their children need them to be. If you are interested in becoming a foster parent please call 970-264-2182.

Adoption

Adoption creates supportive, loving families for children, youth and adults. Our Department’s main goal is to reunify children with their parents. However, if that option is not available, adoption or another type of permanent home is the secondary goal. If you are interested in adopting or have questions please call 970-264-2182.
