Objectives

The Water Quality Department works hand in hand with the Archuleta County Public Health Department to ensure the the health and safety of residents by providing testing, monitoring and solutions, in both public and private waters. Working with a variety of Onsite Wastewater Treatment Systems, known as (OWTS), as well as pools, spas and area hot springs, the Department’s knowledgeable staff are here to help and educate the public.

Access to the Old System for Permits

We are entering a transitional phase regarding access of previously issued On-Site Wastewater Treatment System (OWTS) permits from San Juan Basin Public Health (SJBPH) and new permits issued through Archuleta County Water Quality (ACWQ).

For previously issued permits from SJBPH and ACWQ , please email your request to Water Quality.  We will then send you the requested information.

We are transitioning to a new internal system and hope to have an external public search sometime in the near future.   Please email any questions or concerns to Water Quality.
