The Engineering Department helps to ensure the Health, Safety, and Welfare of Archuleta County Residents by inventorying, classifying, keeping records of and protecting County owner assets within the public rights-of-way. The department also reviews the engineering design of proposed development projects for conformance with Archuleta County Regulations. It also ensures compliance with Federal and State requirements for roadway design and safety within budgetary constraints. The County Engineer oversees all capital improvement projects.
