Road & Bridge Updates Weekly Operations Update


August 31 – September 3, 2026

The Archuleta County Road & Bridge Department is providing the following weekly operations update for constituents. Crews will focus on culvert maintenance, drainage improvements, road grading, and targeted repairs throughout the County.

CREW PLANNED WORK

Drainage Crew

Move equipment to County Road 200 for ditching, then continue ditching
operations on County Road 382.

Blade Crew 1

Complete work on County Road 700, then move to County Road 917,
followed by County Road 175.

Blade Crew 2

Finish up on County Road 400, then move to Fawn Gulch and East
and West Log Hill.

Drainage Crew

Move equipment to County Road 200 for ditching, then continue ditching operations
on County Road 382

Blade Crew 1

Complete work on County Road 700, then move to County Road 917, followed
by County Road 175.

Blade Crew 2

Finish up on County Road 400, then move to Fawn Gulch and East and West Log Hill.

The Archuleta County Road & Bridge Department is providing the following weekly operations update for constituents. Crews will focus on culvert maintenance, drainage improvements, road grading, and targeted repairs throughout the County.

CREW PLANNED WORK

Culvert Crew

Move equipment to County Road 200 for ditching, then continue ditching operations on County Road 382.

Blade Crew 1

Continue work on County Road 700. Once complete, move to County Roads 146, 175, and 166, then continue on County Road 917.

Blade Crew 2

Continue work in the Pagosa Lakes area. Then move to Rob Snow Rd, Pagosa Hills, County Road 411, and County Road 400.

Culvert Crew

Move equipment to County Road 200 for ditching, then continue ditching operations on County Road 382.

Blade Crew 1

Continue work on County Road 700. Once complete, move to County Roads 146, 175, and 166, then continue on County Road 917.

Blade Crew 2

Continue work in the Pagosa Lakes area. Then move to Rob Snow Rd, Pagosa Hills, County Road 411, and County Road 400.

Employee Safety Training

4-hour Flag Training class August 24th.

The Archuleta County Road & Bridge Department is providing the following weekly operations update for constituents. Crews will focus on culvert maintenance, drainage improvements, road grading, and targeted repairs throughout the County.

CREW PLANNED WORK

Culvert Crew

CR 382 culvert clearing and drainage work near Willow Court and Antelope Avenue

Blade Crew 1

CR 500 grading and repairs to sections of FS 631 on Piedra Road

CR 500 grading and touch-up work, followed by work in the Pagosa Lakes subdivision

Defensive driving training on Wednesday, August 19

Culvert Crew

The Culvert Crew will temporarily suspend ditching operations on County Road 382 to clear two culverts that became plugged following the recent water-line break on North Pagosa Boulevard. While working in the area, the crew will also clean and improve the roadside ditches near the intersection of Willow Court and Antelope Avenue.

This work is anticipated to continue throughout the week, weather and field conditions permitting.

Blade Crew 1

Blade Crews 1 and 2 have been working together to grade approximately 25 miles of County Road 500, beginning near the landfill and continuing south toward Arboles.

Blade Crew 1 will also address deteriorated sections of FS 631 on Piedra Road where the road surface has broken apart. Crews will make targeted repairs to restore the road surface and improve driving conditions.

Blade Crew 2

Blade Crew 2 will complete remaining grading work on the southern portion of County Road 500 before beginning touch-up work on sections of CR 500 between the landfill and town that require additional attention.

Following that work, the crew is scheduled to move into the Pagosa Lakes subdivision for additional road maintenance.

Employee Safety Training

On Wednesday, August 19, all Road & Bridge crews will participate in a Defensive Driving training course. This training is part of the County’s ongoing commitment to employee safety and responsible operation of County vehicles and equipment.
